What is a Dental Implant, How is it Installed?

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed on missing tooth areas and allows fixed or removable prosthesis to be made on it. In the selection of implants, brands that have been used for many years and that have long-term clinical follow-up should be preferred. It is also important that the brand has many product alternatives and that it can offer effective and fast solutions when faced with any problem. Implant Team Process A detailed clinical and radiological examination is performed before the implant is inserted. Bone structure and anatomical neighborhoods are carefully evaluated with three-dimensional imaging methods. Implant operation can be performed under local anesthesia, or sedation or general anesthesia can be preferred when necessary. With a surgical operation, a slot is opened in the areas where the implant is planned and the implant is placed. After the implant is placed in the jawbone and the necessary time is waited for it to heal, the prosthesis is made by attaching the necessary healing caps for the prosthesis and the caps to be used in the prosthesis infrastructure.
